I am directed to say that the Department of Heavy Industry invites sealed quotations for Comprehensive annual maintenance contract for the following items installed in this Department for a period of three years:-

You are requested to send your quotation in the sealed cover alongwith EMD of Rs.10,000/- in the name of DDO, DHI, New Delhi to the Under Secretary, (GA) Department of Heavy Industry Room No.15, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi-110011 latest by 3.00PM on 16-9-2006 and the same will be opened at 4.00PM on the same day. Late Quotations would be summarily rejected. The Department reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation without assigning any reasons therefore. The terms & conditions are as under:-

a) The quotations should be in two parts-Technical offer and Financial bid (in separate sealed covers). The bidders may quote rates of comprehensive AMC for three years. The rates may be quoted for each of above items separately. Any Tax chargeable may be indicated separately, failing which it will be presumed that the rates are inclusive of all applicable taxes.
b) The bidder should submit his previous experience and references of satisfactory work performance from customers including at least three Govt. Deptts. Financial bids will be opened only in those cases where the technical bids would be found acceptable.
c) The contract will be comprehensive and the contractor will be required to replace all defective parts including hard disc. The contractor would ensure that all the parts being replaced are new and genuine and are of the same brand name/quality.
d) The contractor will ensure that at least qualified two Engineers having 5 years experience are always available in the Department on all working days to attend to the complaints from the users. Depending up on the work requirements he will have to depute more engineers.
e) All the complaints should be attended to faults rectified within one hours from the time of the complaint. In case the machine is required to be taken to the workshop for any major repair, the machine would be taken with permission, got repaired and returned to the users in the Department within 24 hours from the time of the complaint. If there is any failure on the part of the contractor, he would be liable to penal charges @ Rs.100/- per hour on the first day and Rs.250/- per hour on the subsequent days which would be deducted from the bills of the firm.
f) The awardee of the contract will have to deposit Rs.25,000/- in advance for due and satisfactory implementation of the contract as security deposit in the form of DD/FDR in favour of DDO, DHI, New Delhi..
g) The payment will be made on quarterly basis on the basis of actual number of items maintained by the contractor and on the basis of the satisfactory certificate obtained from the user.
